I also manage and create content for the series’ Facebook and Instagram accounts, make guest appearances at writing and book festivals, and give talks in primary and international schools to promote creative writing.

Roman Ratrocious, the charming owner and host of a popular TV shopping channel, is under suspicion. A mysterious note pleading for help has been discovered in one of his products by FELINE agents Spycat and Rockcat. An investigation soon gets underway. But dangers and secrets lurk everywhere, and the agents soon land in deep waters in the Amazon rainforest.
Spycat and the Paper Chase
The Ace Agent Spycat series is based on my award-winning animated short film Spycat and the Paper Chase, which was my final year project at Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design and Media.
The film has been presented at film festivals and exhibitions in 33 countries across five continents, with a total of almost 1000 screenings worldwide. It also received the Gryphon Award for Best Short Film at the 42nd Giffoni Film Festival, one of the most prestigious children’s film festivals in the world.
I wrote the film’s screenplay and managed a cast and crew of 27 as director and producer. My other tasks included animation, art direction, character & set design, compositing, layout & pre-visualisations, lighting & rendering, modelling, storyboarding, texturing and visual effects.
Spycat and the Paper Chase received the Short Film Grant from the Singapore Film Commission.
Synopsis
Spycat hunts down Captain Chico, whose latest scheme involves robbing the world of every paper product there is. The pursuit takes Spycat to colourful Tokyo, then aboard Captain Chico’s airship for a climactic showdown between cat and dog.
